Did Tang protect Silla?

Baekje … formed an alliance with Silla, the peninsula’s third kingdom. Together, they pushed Goguryeo north and out of Seoul in 551, though Silla was to become the senior party in the relationship, since the Japanese Wa did not provide Baekje such protection as the Chinese Tang dynasty gave Silla.

백제는  한반도의 세 번째 왕국인 신라와 동맹을 맺었다. 그들은 함께 551년에 고구려를 서울 밖의 북쪽으로 밀어냈으며,비록 신라는 관계에서 우위를 차지할 수 있었지만 중국 당나라가 신라를 보호해 준 것처럼 일본 와는 백제에게 보호를 제공하지 않았다.
