The Joseon Dynasty lasted from 1392 to 1910. Gojong, the 26th King of Joseon proclaimed an empire called Daehan Jeguk(Korean Empire) in 1897 and received the tiltle of Emperor Gwangmu. His son Sunjong succeeded the throne and the dyansty lasted until 1910.
By the way, on page 62 of this book describes the period correctly as follows: “The kings of the Joseon dynasty (1392-1910) venerated their ancestors five times a year …”
조선 왕조는 1392년부터 1910년까지 이어졌습니다. 조선의 26대 왕인 고종은 1897년에 대한제국을 선포했으며 광무 황제라는 칭호를 사용했습니다. 고종의 아들 순종이 왕위를 계승했으며 왕조는 1910년까지 이어졌습니다.
그런데 이 책의 62쪽에는 “조선 왕조(1392-1910)의 왕들은 일 년에 다섯 번 추앙했으며…”라고 올바르게 서술하고 있습니다.
