City names of the map should be corrected as follows: “Incheon”, “Daejeon”, “Gwangju”, “Daegu”, “Busan”, respectively. The term ‘East Sea’ should be used rather than ‘Sea of Japan’. The term ‘Sea of Japan’, which the Japanese government claims, is a remainder from Japanese Imperialism. ‘East Sea’ has been a part of Koreans’ lives historically.
In the 1970s, South Korea turned its attention to heavy industry, but largely in the Southeastern part of the country. There were some factories related to heavy industry in Seoul-Incheon region, but the heavy industry was concentrated in southeast cities such as Pohang and Ulsan.
“Hyundai Motors” is not a name of a car company. The official name of the company is “Hyundai Motor Company” which is a Korean-native car company. “Hyundai Motors” is a name of a Korean soccer league team.
