For example, bicycle in Korean language is 자전거. According to Revised Romanisation system that has been used in Korea both official and private, the transliteration of 자전거 should be ‘jajeongeo’. But even though this book is written on 2020, it shows the transliteration of 자전거 as ‘cha∙jŏn∙gŏ’. The ‘ch’ sound refers to ‘ㅊ’ and ‘j’ sound refers to ‘ㅈ’. If one foreigner pronounce ‘자전거’ as the one this book describes, every Korean person will correct the foreigner’s pronunciation as ‘jajeongeo’. Therefore, the entire Romanisation system used in this book is incorrect, and this system will only intensify the confusion of pronouncing Korean words for Korean-language newbies.
