The dreams of Koreans are coming into reality.

Korean freedom fighter Kim Gu once wrote,

The only thing that I desire in infinite quantity is the power of a noble culture. This is because the power of culture both makes us happy and gives happiness to others. The reason people are so unhappy today is because there is lack of humanity, justice, compassion and love. And enlightening people on the importance of these values can be done only by the power of culture. I do not wish my nation to be a nation that imitates, but rather, a nation that is the origin of a noble culture. I wish for true world peace and I wish it to be realized through the power of my nation’s culture.

Koreans have always dreamed of the Wish coming into reality. Many aspects of Korea has been continuously distorted by foreign powers, but as Kim Gu had mentioned, the power of Korea’s noble culture are now being acknowledged by world citizens. For a long time, Koreans were the only ones that promoted Korean culture, but now a new era has come and the world’s attention is focused on Korea. Not just Koreans, but also world citizens who are interested in Korean culture started playing critical roles in promoting Korean culture.

Nowadays, we see people enjoying Korean food such as Kimchi and Bulgogi in restaurants and food trucks, we see people gather around in city centers playing Korean traditional games such as ‘무궁화 꽃이 피었습니다(Green light, red light)’, introduced in Squid Game, these phenomenons may be just the beginning of Koreans’ dreams coming in to reality.

Enjoy the vibes of colorful Korean culture and share the mood with friends and families 🙂
