Was Korea part of Khanate of the Great Khan?

At that time in 1294, Goryeo was in charge of Korean peninsula. Goryeo was not part of the Khante of the Great Khan. Mongol first invaded Goryeo in 1231. Goryeo later lost part of its territory to Mongol and was subjected to internal intervention, but it was not conquered nor did lose political independence. Also, Goryeo was not one of Khanates nor belonged to any Khanate.

(Map) The term ‘East Sea’ should be used rather than ‘Sea of Japan’. The term ‘Sea of Japan’, which the Japanese government claims, is a remainder from Japanese Imperialism. ‘East Sea’ has been a part of Koreans’ lives historically.

1294년에 고려가 한반도에 있었습니다. 고려는 칸 제국의 칸국에 속하지 않았습니다. 몽골은 1231년에 최초로 고려를 침입했습니다. 고려는 이후 몽골에 영토 일부를 빼앗기고 내정간섭을 받았으나 정치적 독립을 잃거나 정복당한 것은 아니었습니다. 또한 고려는 몽골 칸국이 아니었으며 어느 칸국에 속하지도 않았습니다.

(지도) ‘일본해’ 대신에 ‘동해’라는 표현이 사용되어야 합니다. 일본 정부가 주장하는 ‘일본해’ 표기는 일본 제국주의의 잔재입니다. ‘동해’는 역사적으로 줄곧 한국인들의 삶의 일부분이었습니다.
