In fact, local long form should be “Daehanminguk”, and local short form should be “Hanguk”. Also, “Daehanminguk” and “Daehanjeguk” is correct. In Hangeul(Korean), “대한민국” and “대한제국” uses the identical “대”. But the homepage describes “대” of “대한민국” as “Tae” and on the other hand “대” of “대한제국” as “Dae”. You will easily find the notation error of the words. Republic of Korea has been using the ‘Revised Romanization’ system from the year 2000, ousting McCune-Reischauer system that had been used before then.
(남한의) 긴 표현은 “Daehanminguk”이 되어야 하고, 짧은 표현은 ”Hanguk”이 되어야 합니다. 또한 “Daehanminguk”과 “Daehanjeguk”이 올바른 표현입니다. 한글에서 “대한민국”과 “대한제국”은 동일한 “대”를 사용합니다. 하지만 홈페이지는 “대한민국”의 “대”를 “Tae”로 표기하는 반면, ”대한제국“의 ”대“는 “Dae”라고 표기하고 있습니다. 표기법에 오류가 있음을 알 수 있으실 겁니다. 대한민국은 2000년도부터 이전에 사용하던 McCune-Reischauer(매큔-라이샤워 표기법)을 더 이상 사용하지 않고, ‘국어의 로마자 표기법’을 사용해 왔습니다.
