The East Sea is on the east side of Korea, so “in the northeast” is incorrect. Also, on this book, a Korean child, Chang, introduces Korea to foreign children. No Korean would tell a foreigner “The East Sea is also called the Sea of Japan.”
동해는 한국의 동쪽에 있기 때문에 “동북쪽”이라는 표현은 잘못되었습니다. 또한 이 책은 한국 어린이 Chang이 외국인 또래 어린이들에게 한국을 소개하는 책입니다. 어느 한국인도 외국인에게 한국에 대해 소개할 때 “동해는 또한 일본해라고도 불립니다”라고 할 리가 없습니다.
